Mr Pads saves the day

Bearing in mind what M does for a living, yesterday he was just parked in a street in Birmingham, minding his own business.

He then noticesĀ  a bloke pull up in an Astra, who wonders up and down the street, looking all around.
He then goes back to the Astra, goes to the boot of the car and puts on a body warmer and a mid~lentgh jacket. At this point, M was wondering “WTF?” as it was boiling yesterday.

The bloke then hops up onto one of those green BT boxes, (like the one in the picture below) and jumps over a garden fence.

Mr Pads then phones the police, using all their weird jargon (which I can’t believe he remembers almost 9 years since he worked for the local force) tells the Police Operator that it looks as though there is a “Break in Progress” and the operator says that there is a car on the way.

A couple of minutes later M hears loads of banging (like a door being kicked in) and 2 minutes later, the bloke from the Astra pops up with 2 holdalls and a Wii under his arm, chucks it all in the boot of the carĀ  and drives off at 100MPH.

M calls it in to the Police again, and follows the Astra, but looses it because it was driving so erratically and because M’s car is a bit dodgy at the moment.

Somehow, between M and the Police the car is found. Parked at the house that it’s registered to, which is only a street away from where M lost it.

At this point there are about 4 coppers around the Astra, the burglar comes out of his house (wearing the same clothes, including both jackets) said “Oh fuck” and tried to leg it.

Obviously he had no chance, as the place by this time was swarming with coppers and he was arrested. All the stuff was still in the boot of the car. The car, which he had “borrowed” from his dad.

Since then, M has also spoken to the guy whose house it was. The burglar had taken:

  • Laptop
  • DS Lite
  • PSP
  • Wii
  • and a black holdall full of other bits and bobs.

He is of course, chuffed to bits with M and the fact that he just happened to be sat in the right place at the right time.
Burglar is arrested and M saved the day.
